LATHAM, NY : Man pleads not guilty in fatal Albany-area hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, January 18th 2017

An Albany man has denied charges stemming from an upstate hit-and-run collision that killed a 57-year-old Army National Guard master sergeant from central New York.

Thirty-three-year-old Brian Tromans pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident without reporting on Wednesday in Colonie Justice Court.

Tromans turned himself in to law enforcement on Wednesday in connection with the Jan. 8 death of Rudolph Seabron. The Rome man served in the Guard’s Combat Aviation Brigade and had tours of duty in Iraq in 2004, Afghanistan in 2008 and Kuwait in 2012.

Prosecutors say Seabron was struck by two cars in Colonie, first by Tromans and again by another motorist who stayed with him.

Tromans’ attorney denies that his client was drinking that night.
