Fresno, CA : Truck hits, kills bicyclist in Northwest Fresno on monday afternoon, May 5th 2014

A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Northwest Fresno on Monday afternoon.

The crash happened near West Locust and North Palm Bluffs avenues shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Fresno police say the driver of the white Ford pickup truck called the accident in and remained at the scene. The driver cooperated with investigators and was questioned about what exactly happened.

The man who died has not been identified.

The street was closed as investigators looked into the crash.
