Wellington, OH : Woman serious injuries after a single-car crash on Pitts Road on Sunday night, February 7, 2016

A woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a single-car crash Sunday night on Pitts Road.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Elyse Kurianowicz, 25, of Wellington, was driving northbound on Pitts Road north of Peck Wadsworth Road when her car, a 2002 Ford Focus, swerved off the left side of the road and overturned.
The patrol, which received a call about the accident at 8:11 p.m., said Kurianowicz wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car, which landed on top of her.
Kurianowicz was trapped under the car for an unknown amount of time and was alone in the car.
She was flown with serious injuries to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
The patrol said alcohol and drugs are not a suspected factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
