Newport News, VA : One dead following pedestrian accident in Virginia Beach on Thursday, November 10, 2016

A man has died after he was hit by a car, Virginia Beach police said.

The department's fatal crash team is at the scene, according to police.

Westbound lanes on Virginia Beach Boulevard near the Collins Square shopping center are currently closed, police said.

Eastbound lanes are still open, but are moving slowly, police said. Westbound traffic is closed at Kentucky Boulevard.
