HOUSTON, TX : 3-year-old killed, 5 other kids injured after argument between married couple led to deadly crash near downtown Houston on Sunday, 29th October 2023

A 3-year-old little girl was killed late Sunday night after an argument between a husband and wife led to a deadly crash near downtown Houston.

Authorities said the crash took place on SH-288 near the 59 interchange around 11:50 p.m.

According to investigators, the wife was driving and the husband was in the passenger seat.

At some point during the argument, police said that the husband, who was allegedly intoxicated, pulled on the steering wheel and caused his wife to lose control of the SUV.

Houston police said the SUV hit a wall and then flipped over, which made the toddler hit her head. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Additionally, HPD said five other kids were in the SUV at the time. They were all transported to the hospital where two of them were said to be in critical condition and the other three were stable.

The woman, who is believed to be 29 years old, was transported to a hospital in stable condition and her husband, 39, was not injured.
