OTTUMWA, IA : Fatal Wapello County crash on Monday, 25th November, 2019

The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of a man who died Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Wapello County.

Jacob Ross, 29, of Eddyville, was eastbound on 160th Street in southern Wapello County at about 3 a.m. Monday when he lost control on a curve, according to the patrol’s report. His pickup rolled and came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the road.

Ross was injured in the crash and taken to Ottumwa Regional Health Center. The patrol said Jessie Parker, 28, of Wilton, died in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
