A man was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Southwest Baltimore Sunday morning, police said.
The driver who died, a 38-year-old man, had been driving west in a Ford Crown Victoria about 8:20 a.m. in the 5200 block of Frederick Ave., when the car slid sideways into the opposite lane and collided with a 2003 Dodge Dakota being driven by a 53-year-old man, police said.
The Ford spun out near North Bend Road, where the Dodge hit it between the front and back doors on its driver's side, police said. The two cars separated, and the Dodge caught fire, but the driver was able to get out, police said.
The driver of the Ford was unresponsive and had to be extracted by the Fire Department.
Both were taken to hospitals with serious injuries. The 38-year-old was pronounced dead at Saint Agnes, police said.
Police did not publicly identify either driver.
