Sacramento, CA : High-speed chase ends in crash on Saturday, December, 2nd 2017

A California man was arrested after destroying a pavilion and snapping a utility pole while leading officers on a high-speed chase in Warsaw, police said.

Warsaw police tried to stop the vehicle for speeding on U.S. 30 on Saturday morning. The driver of the silver Mitsubishi turned south onto North Parker Street and made a series of turns onto East Center Street, Robmar Drive and Argonne Road before continuing north on Parker and heading back to U.S. 30, police said.

The vehicle turned west onto U.S. 30 in the eastbound lane, drove through the median and continued west on U.S. 30 reaching 120 mph, police said.

The vehicle then turned south onto County Road 350 West and continued at high speed until it reached West Old Road 30, where it left the road. It crashed into an information pavilion, destroying it, and hit a utility pole, breaking it in half. The vehicle then spun and rolled, landing on the driver side.

The Warsaw Fire Department extricated William Sebastian Gonzalez, 43, of Wasco, California. He was flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and later released.

Gonzalez was charged with felony resisting law enforcement and misdemeanor reckless driving. He was also cited for speeding and disregarding traffic signals.
