Dodge County, WI : 1 dead, 6 injured after 5-vehicle crash on State Highway 60 near County Highway P in the Township of Rubicon on Tuesday, September 16, 2014

One person was killed and six people injured Tuesday in a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash in Dodge County, the sheriff's office said. The crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. on State Highway 60 near County Highway P in the Township of Rubicon, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The vehicles, carrying 12 people, were traveling eastbound on Highway 60 and had stopped due to a traffic backup near Highway P, according to the release. An eastbound pickup truck failed to stop and struck the rear of another vehicle, causing the chain-reaction crash. The injured were taken to a hospital, according to the release.
