Scioto County, OH :Man dies after his motorcycle goes off the road in Scioto County on Tuesday, July, 14th 2015

Troopers said a McDermott, OH man died on Tuesday after his motorcycle went off the road on SR 73 in Scioto County.It happened about 2:48 p.m. on SR 73 near milepost 21 in Rush Township.Charles F. Roberts, 59, of McDermott, was riding a 1994 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on SR 73.According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, as Roberts was going around a right curve, a witness saw the motorcycle go off the east side of the road. Roberts and his motorcycle struck a guardrail and overturned.Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scioto County Coroner.Troopers said Roberts was not wearing a helmet, even though he had one available to him at the time of the crash.The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Rush and Washington Township EMS and Fire Departments, the Scioto County Sheriff Dept. and the Scioto County Coroner.
