An Angola woman was killed Tuesday in a four-vehicle crash in Steuben County.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 20 at County Road 360 West, the Steuben County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
Cindy Mirkle, 55, of Angola was pronounced dead at the scene by Steuben County Coroner Bill Harter.
According to the sheriff's office, Mirkle was a passenger in a 2000 Ford Explorer that was westbound on U.S. 20 and was stopping at the intersection with County Road 260 West.
The Explorer, driven by Tedd Moss, 54, of Angola, was rear-ended by a 1997 GMC Sierra driven by Jake Fink, 22, of LaGrange.
The impact pushed the Explorer into a 2008 Dodge truck driven by Bruce Coney, 58, of Angola, that was stopped at the intersection, then into the eastbound lane of U.S. 20, where the Explorer collided with a 1999 Peterbilt semi driven by Benjamin Matheny, 29, of Utica, Ohio.
Coney, Fink and Matheny were not injured in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff's Office.
