SHREVEPORT, LA : Caddo deputy rear-ended in multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

A dump truck rear-ended a patrol car driven by a Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputy, leading to a chain reaction accident. It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 6900 block of West 70th Street.

Sheriff Jay Long says Deputy Daniel Clayton was stopped at a red light when the dump truck failed to stop, hitting the patrol car and then hitting a Kia Forte, which was occupied by three people. According to Sheriff Long, the Forte was pushed into the intersection and crashed into a tow truck.
