Anchorage, AK : Icy bridge contributes to 7-vehicle crash on Glenn Highway on Friday, 4th November 2016

Seven vehicles were involved in a Glenn Highway crash Friday morning on an icy bridge over the Knik River, troopers said.

"It sounds like it is super slippery out and motorists have slid into each other and the guardrail," Megan Peters, Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman, said in an email.

"Everything (was) cleaned up in about an hour. DOT sanded the area."It "doesn't look like any injuries have been reported," Peters said.

The crash was reported before 10 a.m. The right outbound lane was closed while the vehicles were removed.

The bridge is just north of the Old Glenn Highway exit of the Glenn Highway.
