San Diego,CA : One dead in vehicle vs. semi crash on State Route 905 on September, Tuesday 26th 2017

One person died after a small sedan and a tractor-trailer truck collided in the South Bay Tuesday.

The collision was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on westbound State Route 905 at Beyer Boulevard in the Otay Mesa West area, according to California Highway Patrol. The crash sent the truck - a FedEx delivery truck - through the highway guardrail and off an overpass.

The driver of the tractor-trailer died in the wreck. The cause of the crash was not immediately available.

Vehicles traveling westbound were being directed onto Picador Blvd. and traffic in the area is reportedly slow moving into Tuesday's evening commute. The left lane was immediately blocked following the crash.
