PINELLAS PARK,FL : Motorcyclist injured after crash in Saturday 28th June 2014

A motorcyclist suffered life threatening injuries Saturday night when his bike struck a street sign on 66th Street North.

Shortly before 7 p.m., John Green, 40, of Largo was riding a 1993 Harley Davidson on 66th Street near 121st Avenue North when his motorcycle left the road, went into the median and struck a street sign, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.

Green was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash. Green was not wearing a helmet and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, the police report states.
