Jamestown, N.D : One injured in an accident near Page on Sunday, February 19, 2017

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident near Page Sunday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 5:35 p.m. on N.D. Highway 38 at the junction of Cass County Road 26.

A 2015 Toyota Prius driven by Erwin Warner, 72, Riverton, Wyo., was traveling eastbound on Cass County Road 26 when it failed to yield at the intersection with Highway 38.

The Toyota struck a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Gregory Weigel, 49, Moorhead, Minn. Passengers in the Dodge were Rhonda Weigel, 52, and John Weigel, 13, both of Moorhead. No passengers in the Dodge were injured.

Warner was transported from the the scene by a Life Flight helicopter to Sanford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to the patrol.

The accident remains under investigation.
