Wichita, KS : One person critical injured in struck by vehicle in southeast Wichita on Thursday December 17 2015
One person was injured Thursday night in crash involving a pedestrian in southeast Wichita.
Wichita Police Lt. Paul Duff said three people were crossing East Harry St. at South Elpyco when one of them, a man, was struck by a westbound vehicle. The accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m.
The call originally came out as a hit-and-run injury accident. However, Duff said the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim did not leave the scene.
Sedgwick County emergency dispatchers earlier confirmed the injured person was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital.
Harry St. between Oliver and Edgemoor was blocked while accident investigators were on the scene.
