SIKESTON, MO : Grave markers headstones damaged in Sikeston motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024

Several headstones and grave markers were damaged following a motor vehicle accident in Sikeston on Wednesday night.

Around 9 p.m. on July 3, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety was called to a motor vehicle accident at Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 1201 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston.

Upon arrival, officers learned a vehicle had run through the tree line and crashed into several headstones and grave markers before coming to rest near the center of the cemetery.
