Houston, TX : Bicyclist hurt in HPD collision near downtown on Tuesday, January 31st 2017

A bicyclist was sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after a collision with a police car just west of downtown Houston.
The incident happened about 7 a.m. on Houston Avenue near Memorial Drive, according to the Houston Police Department.
The cyclist was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. Details of the person's injuries and condition were not released but police said the injuries were minor.
The officer was not hurt.
Police said the officer was in city vehicle when he collided with the bicyclist. No other details about the incident were available.
