CUBA CITY, WI : Cuba City man cited after bicyclist injured in crash on Monday, 16th September 2024

A Cuba City man was cited Monday evening following a crash with a bicyclist.

Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill said a deputy and paramedics were called to Roaster Road in Benton Township just after 7 p.m. An 86-year-old Cuba City man was traveling west on his bicycle when he was hit by a 1999 Chevrolet being driven by another Cuba City man.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital then transported by MedFlight to University Hospital. The driver was uninjured, and was cited for failure to maintain control and not keeping his vehicle's windows reasonably clean.

Gill said the Hazel Green Fire Department and Southwest Health EMS assisted the sheriff's office at the scene.
