Phoenix, AZ : One person Killed in fiery collision between truck, passenger vehicle on State Route 347 at Maricopa Road outside Phoenix on Thursday, March 12, 2015

Authorities say one person was killed in a fiery fatal collision involving a large truck and a passenger vehicle.

The state Department of Public Safety said the accident occurred Thursday morning on State Route 347 at Maricopa Road, which is located on the southern outskirts of the Phoenix metro area.

News video showed that the passenger vehicle went off the road and caught fire.

No additional details were immediately available.
