Canon City,CO : Six people transported to hospitals following head-on motor vehicle collision on April, Friday 13th 2018
Six people were transported to area hospitals following a two-vehicle, head-on collision Friday night.
Lt. Shane Roberts of the Canon City Area Fire Protection District reported the accident at about 9:44 p.m. on U.S. 50 west of Mackenzie Avenue. Roberts said four of the individuals were listed with non-life threatening injuries and two were transported with critical/life-threatening injuries.
Fire crews, AMR ambulance and multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene. Both directions of U.S. 50 were closed so Flight for Life could land on the roadway.
Eastbound U.S. 50 remains closed while the Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.
