Egg Harbor Township, NJ : Woman killed when sport utility vehicles collide on southern New Jersey roadway on Wednesday, Nov 25, 2015
Authorities say a woman was killed when two sport utility vehicles collided on a southern New Jersey roadway.
Egg Harbor Township police say the crash occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
They say 62-year-old township resident Pauline Camarota was southbound on Fernwood Avenue when she failed to stop at a stop sign. Her SUV then collided with another driven by 17-year-old township resident Abigail Dingman, who was eastbound on West Jersey Avenue.
The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway and Camarota's SUV struck a tree. She was flown to a hospital, but died there a short time later.
Dingman and a passenger in her SUV were not seriously injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
