San Diego, CA : Driver dead after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Old Highway 395 in the Bonsall area on Tuesday, March 31, 2015

A driver was killed when a vehicle crashed into a tree Tuesday in the Deer Springs area east of Oceanside.

The single-vehicle crash on Camino Del Rey near Old Highway 395 was reported around 9:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire. The wrecked vehicle was blocking the westbound lane.

The name of the victim was not immediately available.
