Winston County woman killed in car crash near Graysville

Authorities today released the identity of a woman killed Friday night in a Jefferson County car crash with an 18-wheeler.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Yvonne Holley, 58, of Houston, Alabama in Winston County. The crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Interstate 22 near the Graysville exit.

Chief Deputy Randy Christian said the driver of the tractor trailer told deputies he was attempting to turn around on the interstate after becoming lost while following his GPS. As he was making the turn, Holley's Lexus rear-ended the truck and went under the trailer.
Holley was pronounced dead at the scene. Christian said the accident remains under investigation.
