Springfield Twp, OH : Three injured in rollover crash on I-70 West in Springfield Twp on Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 2014
Three people were taken to the hospital this afternoon in a rollover crash on Interstate 70 West.
Stacey Buchanan, 53, of Springfield, was on I-70 when her 2000 Dodge Durango was struck by Brian Warren, 45, also of Springfield, who was trying to merge his 2001 Ford Escort from the shoulder onto the highway, said Trooper Aaron Estle of the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post.
“He wasn’t in the lane,” Estle said, as he came from Ohio 4 to the interstate on-ramp.
The impact forced the SUV to lose control and roll over in the median, the trooper said.
None of the three people involved in the crash were believed to be seriously injured, and all were taken to Springfield Regional Hospital, Estle said.
Warren was cited for failure to yield.
The collision remains under investigation and it’s not clear whether any further charges would be filed, according to the patrol.
