Boulder ,CO : One person Seriously injured and transported to Hospital after multi-car accident on Sunday afternoon ,August 9th 20150

1Boulder-bound travelers on U.S. 36 are in for a rough commute this afternoon as police and emergency personnel respond to a multi-car accident.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. near Cherryvale Road, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid.

He said five or six cars were involved and one person was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Reid did not have information about lane or road closures, but traffic appeared to be severely backed up on the highway's westbound lanes.
