Gastonia, N.C : Driver injured after crashing into United Way building early Wednesday morning, December 2, 2015
Paramedics took a woman to the hospital after police said the car she was driving ran a red light and crashed into a United Way building in Gastonia early Wednesday morning.
According to officers, the driver ran a red light at the intersection of East Franklin Blvd. and South Oakland Street around 8:30 a.m. and collided with a truck before ricocheting into the building.
The car ran over a fire hydrant but there was no rupture, according to officials.
Police said the woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
