Ottawa County , OH :66 - Years old Mark A. Swift killed and two others injured after crash at Salem Carroll Rd on Saturday afternoon ,April 25 2015

One person is dead and two others were injured after a crash in Ottawa County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Chris A. Lawley of Oak Harbor was westbound on Salem Carroll Rd.

James E. Swift Sr., 86, also of Oak Harbor, was northbound on Behlman Rd. and stopped at the stop sign at the Salem Carroll Rd. intersection.

Swift Sr. failed to yield from the stop sign and was struck by Lawley. Swift Sr. then went off the northwest side of the roadway and overturned.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and were transported to nearby hospitals.
