TRENTON, ME : Man, 19, dies in Trenton crash on Friday, 26th January 2024

A 19-year-old from Mount Desert died Thursday in a crash in Trenton.

Gage Johnson died at the scene, the Hancock County Sheriff's Office said in a release Friday.

Johnson was driving south on Bar Harbor Road around 6 p.m. when he passed another southbound vehicle. When he re-entered the southbound lane, he apparently lost control of his vehicle and then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go back into the northbound lane and hit another vehicle head-on, the release stated.
