Two teenagers died in a crash Thursday night that began as a chase in Mooresville, troopers said.
Highway patrol said just before 11 p.m., they were called to Highway 801 near Back Creek Church Road, where they found a red 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck that had hit a utility pole.
According to investigators, the truck was driving along Highway 801 while being chased by officers with the Mooresville Police Department. It ran off the right side of the road, flipped, and hit the pole.
