Lee County, AL : Brandy Rebecca Treadwell, 37, dead in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 280 West and Lee Road 188 in Waverly on Thursday morning, April 30, 2015

A two-vehicle crash this morning claimed the life of a Roanoke woman.
Brandy Rebecca Treadwell, 37, was killed when the 1994 Geo Prizm she was driving was struck by a 2008 Lexus RX350, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said officers received a call at 9:33 a.m. about the wreck at the intersection of U.S. 280 West and Lee Road 188 in Waverly in northwest Lee County.
Treadwell was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Jones. The driver of the Lexus, Jose Llanes, 72, of Auburn, was entrapped and eventually freed from the vehicle. He was airlifted to a hospital in Columbus, Ga.

No further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
