Susquehanna, PA : 64-year-old woman dies in fiery crash on Route 29 in Dimock Township on Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Police say a 64-year-old woman was killed Wednesday after her vehicle crashed and caught fire in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.

The crash happened shortly after noon, on Route 29 in Dimock Township, according to Pennsylvania state police. Troopers say the driver was traveling southbound and drove through a right curve in the road, causing her to go off the east side of the roadway.

After striking a utility pole, the vehicle continued south and hit two trees before rolling over, police said. The vehicle came to a final rest in a field, facing north, on the eastern side of the roadway.

Police say the woman's vehicle caught fire and "burned up significantly."

Authorities have not identified the driver who was killed in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
