Aurora, CO : 1 person dead in single car accident on Interstate 225 in Aurora on Friday night, March 6, 2015

Aurora Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a fatal crash Friday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on East Iliff Avenue and South Blackhawk Street, just east of Interstate 225 in Aurora.

Police say the driver of a Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on East Iliff Avenue, ran through a red light and struck a Subaru turning left onto South Blackhawk Street.

The impact killed the person driving the Subaru. The driver of the Silverado was treated for minor injuries. The drivers were the only people in the two vehicles.

It's unclear which driver police suspect was under the influence of alcohol.

The names of the victims have not been released.
