Fort Myers, FL : Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Palm Beach Boulevard Sunday morning, July 31, 2016

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian on Palm Beach Boulevard Sunday morning.

A report from the FHP said the woman, only known as Xiomara Olivia Degarcia, 47, of Tice, was in the eastbound lanes of Palm Beach Boulevard west of Waverly Avenue.

A vehicle traveling east around 5 a.m. on Palm Beach struck the woman, causing her to come to rest in the intersection. The vehicle and driver did not remain at the scene.

The FHP is asking any witnesses or those with information about the crash, the driver or the vehicle involved to contact Trooper Jason Moore at (239) 938-1800.
