Union,NC : Student on bicycle injured in Union County hit-and-run on August, Thursday 31th 2017

A student bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run in Union County Thursday morning.

Union County deputies say a student was crossing Wesley Chapel Road on a bicycle when a vehicle clipped the bike's rear tire.

The person in the car then fled the scene, deputies say. The car is described as a small four-door gray car.

The student suffered minor injuries.

Highway Patrol is investigating.
