Longview, TX : One dead in morning wreck in Kilgore on Thursday, 20th October 2016

A woman was killed this morning in a one-vehicle wreck in Kilgore.

Christy Lynn Pierson, 40, of Kilgore was pronounced dead at the scene by Gregg County Justice of the Peace Talyna Carlson, according to Kilgore police. Three other passengers in the car were taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center’s Kilgore Emergency Room to be treated for minor injuries.

Police say Pierson was driving south around 7 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 259 at Synergy Drive when the car mistakenly entered the turn lane and then tried to return to the travel lane, overcorrecting and rolling over as a result.
