More than a year after a Toledo woman was killed in a single-car, rollover crash, the driver of the vehicle was indicted Wednesday for her death.

Phillip N. Pope, 31, of the 1000 block of Indiana Avenue was indicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide one alleging he was under the influence and the other alleging he was reckless in the Feb. 22, 2017, death of Shaunta Gaston, 30.

Mr. Pope was in the left lane of northbound I-75 heading toward westbound I-475 about 6:45 a.m. when he lost control, went off the left side of the road, and overturned several times. Ms. Gaston, who was in the back seat, was ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it.
