Richmond, VA : Bicyclist died in hit and killed crash in Nottoway County early Thursday, August 4, 2016

A bicyclist was hit and killed early Thursday in Nottoway County, Virginia State Police said.

The crash happened about 4 a.m. when a pickup truck hit the cyclist on westbound U.S. 460 near the intersection with Bible Road, police said.

The cyclist was driving in the right lane of U.S. 460 when the crash occurred, police said.
State police described the truck involved in the crash as a 1996 to 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup with damage to the front right side.
