ATTLEBORO, MA : Two people were injured in an accident near LaSalette Shrine on Friday, August 11, 2017

Two people were injured in an accident on Park Street (Route 118) near LaSalette Shrine late Friday afternoon.

The victims were taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, but the injuries weren’t believed to be too serious, the fire department said.

The accident was reported about 4:45 p.m.

One vehicle lost its wheel in the roadway, and a van plowed into hedges on a front lawn of a nearby home.

Police shut down part of the road for a brief time.
