Memphis, TN : Two people injured after wrong-way crash on Briley Parkway on Saturday, March 26, 2016

Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Saturday.

Police said the man driving a white vehicle was heading the wrong way on Briley Parkway when he crashed into the woman driving another vehicle.

The woman was listed in serious condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Monday. The man who allegedly hit her is listed as stable.

Another man, Rickey Robertson, is being credited with saving the female driver’s life.

Robertson said the woman was trapped inside her car when it caught fire.

“I got the fire extinguisher and run up there and tried to put the fire out because it was coming inside the car, so I busted the windows out so we could get her out,” Robertson said.

The crash remains under investigation. Police said charges are pending against the wrong-way driver.
