CLEVELAND, OH : Alcohol suspected as factor in fatal Tuscarawas County crash on Sunday, 17th March 2024

A Carroll County woman is dead after a single-car crash overnight Sunday in Tuscarawas County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Police say the crash happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning on State Route 39 in Union Township.

According to the OSHP, a 2009 Dodge Challenger driven by Richard Sickels, 48 of Sherrodsville, was traveling east near milepost 22 when the vehicle "went off the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail." The car overcorrected and struck a ditch on the left side of the road and overturned.
