Whitfield County, GA :Distracted driver causes secondary accident in Whitfield on Wednesday, July 1st 2015

A secondary accident on Interstate 75 north in Whitfield County Wednesday evening looked worse than it was. Around 5:15pm at mile marker 336 a tractor trailer jackknifed on I-75 N causing a backup. Roughly an hour and a half later, another tractor trailer that was stopped with traffic due to the first accident was hit from behind by a car.Georgia State Patrol tells Channel 3 the driver became distracted by her phone and didn't notice the stopped traffic, hitting the back of the truck. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. A small child, in the back of the vehicle, was not injured.
