Salisbury, CT : Sharon man killed in a crash on Route 112 near Salmon Kill Road on Thursday, August 4, 2016

A 64-year-old Sharon man was killed when his vehicle struck a tree on Route 112 shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday, state police said.

Robert Chatfield, whose address is listed as a post office box in Sharon, was traveling east on Route 112 near the intersection of Salmon Kill Road when the 1995 Honda Civic he was driving moved to the left of the roadway and struck a tree, state police reports indicate.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
