CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA : Driver hospitalized after being thrown from crashed car on Tuesday, 16th April 2024

A driver in Campbell County was hospitalized Tuesday after being thrown from a car that rolled.

About 2 a.m. Tuesday, Rustburg Volunteer Fire Department and Lyn-Dan Heights Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of a crash in the 1900 block of Campbell Highway. The driver of a Nissan Altima had been traveling south and lost control, according to fire crews. The driver crossed over the northbound lane and went down a 10-foot embankment, when the car flipped several times, landing on its side, throwing the driver out.

First responders found the driver lying on the edge of the road and after treatment on-scene, arranged for hospital transport.
