CRAWFORD COUNTY, PA : Sharpsville man killed in ATV crash on Saturday, 3rd September 2016

A Sharpsville man was killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash Saturday at the Cambridge-Woodcock township line in Crawford County, state police said.

Travis L. Burge, 23, was not wearing a helmet when he was thrown from his ATV at about 8:35 p.m., police said.

Burge was southbound of Gravel Run Road when he failed to make a curve and the ATV went off the east side of the road, hitting a PennDOT sign, police said. The ATV continued and crossed over a driveway before hitting a fence in a cow pasture, police said.
