Putnam County, WV : One man injured in a crash involving a pickup truck and an ATV on Saturday evening September 13th 2014
Crews responded to the scene of an accident in Putnam County, West Virginia involving a pickup truck and an ATV.
According to 911 dispatchers, it happened in the area of Manila Creek Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 13.
Crews at the scene say a man driving a pickup truck was driving behind an ATV, and attempted to pass it because the ATV was reportedly going too slow for him.
When the man attempted to pass the ATV, the ATV attempted to get off the roadway, in which the truck rolled over a hillside.
The man was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. No one on the ATV was injured.
Crews at the scene say the man driving the truck is believed to be at fault for this accident, but that charges are not expected to be filed.
The roadway was shut down until crews finished clearing the scene, but has since reopened.
