Woman killed in a motorcycle crash Near Atlanta

The woman killed in a motorcycle crash on I-285 in south Fulton County was identified Thursday as a 74-year-old woman from the Cincinnati area. And police filed a vehicular homicide charge against the driver of a car that had stopped in traffic with a flat tire, leading to the accident.Mary Joyce Miller of Cleves, Ohio, was killed Wednesday afternoon when the Harley Davidson motorcycle on which she was a passenger crashed into the rear of an SUV that had stopped for the vehicle with the flat, police said.The woman's husband, Jerry L. Miller, 62, was driving the bike, according to the Fulton County Police Department. He sustained bruises and declined treatment at the scene.Mbemba Saja Touray, 35, of Atlanta, the driver of the car, was charged with vehicular homicide and improper stopping on the highway, said Fulton police Sgt. Scott McBride.
The accident happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-285 at Washington Road.
Touray's Toyota Corolla was at a standstill in the second lane from the median, authorities said. An SUV driven stopped behind the Toyota to avoid a collision, the motorcycle crashed into the SUV, and the Millers were thrown from the bike..Fulton police identified the SUV's driver as John L. Erickson, 65, of Mableton. Neither he nor Touray were injured.
