Trenton,NJ : 4 Mercer teens arrested after car chase and crash on may, Sunday 28th 2017

Four juveniles were arrested early Sunday morning after they crashed a stolen car while fleeing from police.

Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were in the area of Chambers and Forrest streets around 1:50 a.m. when they saw a car that was previously reported stolen. When cops initiated a motor vehicle stop, officials say, the driver of the stolen car refused to pull over, sparking a police chase.

Cops lost sight of the stolen car at one point during the chase, but later saw it near the intersection of West Hanover and Calhoun streets; and another chase ensued.

Police say the chase continued into Ewing Township where the stolen car crashed at the corner of Buttonwood Drive and Allison Avenue.

A police car was damaged when it crashed into the stolen vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

A 15-year-old male from Trenton who was driving the stolen car is charged with receiving stolen property and eluding. A 14-year-old male, another 15-year-old male, both from Trenton, and a 16-year-old male from Yardville were also charged with receiving stolen property.
