Tarnov, NE : 1 driver killed in Platte County collision on Thursday night, June 9, 2016

Authorities say a pickup driver was killed in a collision with a car in Platte County.

The collision occurred late Thursday night at a rural intersection about a mile west of Tarnov. The Nebraska State Patrol says a westbound pickup collided with a southbound car.

Authorities identified the pickup driver as 33-year-old William Sorensen, who lived in St. Edward. The car driver and a passenger have not been identified. It's unclear whether they were injured.

The crash is being investigated.
